Description

Delivery bike riders, often referred to as couriers, are responsible for transporting goods, packages, or food items from one location to another using bicycles or motorized scooters. Their primary responsibilities include:

  • Operate bicycles or motorized scooters safely and efficiently to deliver items to their destinations.
  • Follow traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road.
  • Pick up items from a central location, a business, or a restaurant as specified in delivery requests.
  • Deliver items to the recipient’s location within the expected timeframe.
  • Use GPS or maps to plan and follow the best routes to reach the delivery locations.
  • Maintain knowledge of local streets and addresses.
  • Communicate with customers or dispatch regarding delivery instructions, address clarifications, or any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
Education
  • License / 1+ Years Experience same field
  • Good physical fitness and endurance for biking, especially in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and road safety.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatch.
  • Ability to follow maps and navigate using GPS devices.
  • Basic bike maintenance skills, if applicable.
  • Attention to detail for recording deliveries and following delivery instructions.
  • Positive and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Must Have
  • Valid motorcycle license in Malta.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Valletta and nearby areas.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good command of English (knowledge of Maltese is an added advantage).
  • Dependable, punctual, and with a positive outlook.

    We offer both full-time and part-time positions. Full-time riders typically work 40 hours per week, while part-time riders can choose shifts that fit their availability. We also offer flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings.

    No, Speedy Delivery Services provides all riders with a company bike. We also cover fuel expenses through a fuel allowance, so you don’t need to worry about those costs.
